Do-It-Yourself Facial Toner

November 27, 2014

To be totally honest, when it comes to beauty products, I’m a sucker for the basics; a good mascara, tinted moisturizer that doubles as SPF, red lipstick, etc. I hardly ever overbuy in the beauty department and try not to fill my bathroom or makeup bag with unnecessary extras. Needless to say, if something doesn’t work or I wouldn’t use it myself, I sure wouldn’t pass it along!

I’ve always had average skin, not bad, but definitely not perfect – and then I moved to New York City; all of the sudden my average skin took a turn for the worst. Maybe it was the stress of my first real job, maybe the change in climate, whatever it was my skin did not adjust well and breakouts were becoming “normal” which in-turn made me feel incredibly insecure; my dermatologist suggested medication and various creams, but all that did was make my skin dry.

I’m a big fan of natural products, and knowing exactly what I’m putting on to my skin or into my body is really important to me. When I noticed my breakouts only getting worse, I took matters into my own hands and found that all it took to improve my complexion was just two simple ingredients: apple cider vinegar and rosewater; the combo cleared up my skin in no time! This DIY facial toner has been a part of my daily routine for the past couple of years now and I absolutely love it; ask any Greenhorn girl, it works like a charm!
