My Guacamole Recipe
Read below for what you need and how to make it…
Serving for 4 (multiply accordingly)
- 3 avocados & 2 pits
- 1/2 white onion
- Handful of cilantro leaves
- 1/2 tomato
- 1/2 jalapeño (remove seeds, and for increased spice, use full jalapeño instead)
- 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt (start with 1/4 teaspoon and add more to taste)
- 1/4 lime (optional)
How to make it:
First, dice the onion and jalapeño. Using a muddler or mixing bowl, add jalapeño and onion, and crush together to combine flavors (this enhances the taste of the guacamole tremendously). Next, cut and scoop avocado insides into the muddler or mixing bowl and mix well. Finely mince and add cilantro. Then add the sea salt. Dice and add tomatoes, and churn the mixture over gently. Add 2 of the avocado pits back into the mixture. Optionally, squeeze lime over the final mixture. *Lime and avocado pits are actually magical at preserving the freshness/greenness of guacamole while combating the oxidation, which would otherwise tint it brown fairly quickly.
