This recipe is for Thomas Joseph, director of all things food at Martha Stewart: friend, cucumber freak, Virgo, and one of the most talented men I know. We’ve made so many salads together, and so many strange snacks — some great, like this one, others too foul to mention (lettuce and tomato sauce should never be mixed). He’s taught me many important lessons throughout the years, but perhaps “don’t be stingy” is one of the best. Jess Damuck is a food editor, stylist, writer, and producer with ten years’ experience working with Marth Stewart, including all four seasons of the Emmy nominated “Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.” (She credits herself with giving Snoop his first homemade crouton.) An undeniable lover of veggies, Jess’s first book, “Salad Freak,” debuted in March 2022 and features over 100 salad recipes.
