Ten miles inland from the Long Island Sound lies the quaint, historic town of Easton, CT. This oasis of rural beauty is home to fewer than 8,000 people, more than 20 working farms, and the Wheeler House, the location for our cover shoot.

Built in 1744, the Wheeler House is one of the older homes in Connecticut. Originally established as an inn, the property is replete with colonial architecture, pine floors, and a fireplace in every room. Historic documents show that our founding father George Washington stayed there twice, and the nostalgia is palpable upon your first step inside. The home was purchased in 2021 by designer Christian Siriano, who undertook the impressive task of updating the home while preserving its landmark identity. He later sold the home in 2023 to a family that uses it as their oasis from the bustling New York City streets. Original floors, doors, and fireplaces remain throughout, and the space is tastefully decorated with a combination of curated antiques sourced worldwide.
